Trading under the business name, Laser Therapy Centre, we have been pioneering laser therapies in the Sydney CBD and Parramatta since 1983.

Over the past decade, our NVR-registered training organisation (#90874) has fine-tuned clinical treatments and accredited and skill-based training courses using lasers, intense pulsed light (IPL) and other light-based technologies.
 

Our lead practitioner and Director of Studies holds a PhD in laser medicine and has conducted a clinical trial (ACTRN 12613000499785) that tested the effectiveness of laser light on osteoarthritis knee pain.

Our special interest includes integrating Eastern medicine techniques and philosophies with laser therapy, aka Photo Bio-modulation (PBM). 

We work with other health professionals to help manage symptoms and other aspects associated with chronic or specific health conditions, including pain, arthritic disorders, work/sports injuries, muscular-skeletal disorders, post-surgery/wound healing, post-cancer recovery and IVF support.

Pioneering Accredited Laser Courses

We developed the first Graduate Diploma of Laser/IPL/RF for Hair Reduction & Dermal/Vein Treatments (91540NSW), which was accredited in February 2011; the first Graduate Diploma of Laser Integrative Medicine with Acu-point Techniques (91551NSW) accredited in April 2011; and the first Graduate Certificate in Laser & Intense Pulsed Light Dermal/Vein Treatments & Laser Tattoo Removal (10664NAT), accredited in September 2017.

All three courses were developed on the back of two short courses that changed the face of laser/IPL training in Australia in 2003 when they became the first of their type to be accredited under the Australian Quality Training Framework and the Vocational Education Training (VET) Framework.

Taken together, our extensive course development program makes the Laser Therapy Centre Australia's foremost pioneer of clinical treatments and nationally recognised training involving the use of light-based technologies and the dynamic field of integrative medicine.

Currently, our scope on www.training.gov.au lists the only qualification of its type available in Australia - 
SHB60118 - Advanced Diploma of Intense Pulsed Light and Laser for Hair Reduction (Release 1), which forms part of the National Beauty Training Package.
